ICTs

Education:
  1. Teachers use computers to create a more interactive way to learn
  2. Students use iPads to work easier and so that they can have fun while working
  3. Teachers use the projector to show information and presentations they create
  4. Television has been utilized successfully as a mechanism for reaching out-of-school youth in a number of countries, especially in Latin America and China, and the results of such projects have been widely disseminated.
  5. Educational initiatives that utilize radio and television typically have quite high initial start-up/capital costs, but once they are up and running, on-going maintenance and upgrade costs are much lower
  6. The usefulness of computer-aided instruction (CAI), in which computers are seen as simple replacements for teachers, has been largely discredited, although there appears to still be great interest in CAI in many LDCs where computers are being introduced
  7.   The uses of ‘free’ software is widely touted as a cost-effective alternative to the uses of proprietary software, but research in this area is largely advocatory in nature.
  8.   Teachers use ICTs to record the grades and manage the numbers

What I learned this trimester is that ICTs are used everywhere for everything. ICT are used in school, at work and in many other areas. ICT also help people learn around the globe much easily. Teachers use ICTs a lot to help the students learn and to make their classes a bit more fun. For my personal opinion I think ICTs are very necessary for everything we do in every area but especially in the education and business areas because the use them the most. Some components of ICTs have existed for long time such as telephones and computers but there are new such as smartphones, digital TVs and robots.
